ABOUT
Dear friends and family of Sri Lanka,
Now more than ever your support is crucial.
Cyclone Ditwah has left thousands of families across the island facing loss, uncertainty, and the long, slow work of rebuilding lies ahead. Entire communities have been uprooted — homes washed out, livelihoods disrupted, and the everyday rhythm of life broken overnight.
The numbers are staggering and heartbreaking: over 600 lives lost, 200 people still missing, 200,000 displaced from their homes, and more than 2 million affected. A state of emergency has been declared, critical infrastructure such as roads, bridges, and essential public facilities have been damaged or destroyed.
Sri Lanka has been on the front line of a changing climate for years, and once again our people are picking themselves up with the resilience we know so well. But the recovery ahead will be long and challenging. And we need your help to sustain it.
How It Works
To support rescue, relief and recovery efforts across the island we are organizing a limited-edition print sale. We are aiming to raise USD $10,000 to provide mid-long term relief and recovery efforts on a needs basis. Proceeds from the sale of each print, after printing, transaction fees and shipping, will go directly toward relief efforts: rebuilding homes, supporting families who have lost everything and helping communities find stability again. We will be working with the Sambol Foundation, a nonprofit championing women’s rights in Sri Lanka, to distribute the funds raised. Learn more about their work here.
If you are able, please support by purchasing a print, or two or twenty, or consider donating with an open donation. Every contribution counts.
Let’s show up for the island we call Home.
